Technical Visualization (MAAA353)

Below is the weekly breakdown of projects and assignments for this class. The syllabi for this course, and others I teach can be found on the main page. If you have a question or concern, please contact me. I generally respond to e-mails within a few hours of receiving them. NOTE: Students are required to bring a Wacom tablet to class each week. We'll also work with Maya, too.

Technical Visualization Week-by-Week Breakdown
Week 1: Intros / Ice Breakers. Project 1 overview creative brief. Interior spaces assigned.
Week 2: Syllabus Contract due. References for assigned Interior space design study and 3D basic blocking due.
Week 3: Layout should be finalized. Pencil rendering due.
Week 4: Inks and Color flats due.
Week 5: Finalized images due along with process presentation today. Project 2 overview creative brief.
Week 6: References, found object and preliminary silhouette studies due for Found Object Sci-Fi City. Post-mortem essay due.
Week 7: 3D basic blocking due with 3D lighting studies.
Week 8: Thanksgiving Holiday. Class does not meet.
Week 9: Terrain composition and layout should be finalized. Pencil Rendering due.
Week 10: Inks and Color Flats Due.
Week 11: Sci-Fi City Project Due. Post-mortem essay due.
